Hiba holds two MSc in Pharmacy from University of Geneva and in Geosciences from University of Malta. She worked in many different fields and has broad interests. Her current research focus on coastal geomorphology and ocean governance, more specifically seasonal sediment dynamics on Maltese pocket sandy beaches, coastal governance analysis, and stakeholders’ engagement. A multicultural and multidisciplinary background and lifestyle gave her a passion in building bridges between communities, scientific fields, and partners. Additionally, she strongly believes that extensively working in the field is essential to keep strong links with grass roots which further support scientific findings to instil efficient policies.
