Michela is a researcher working on many fields of applied geophysics and in particular in acquisition, processing, inversion and interpretation of 2D and 3D seismic data. Her research is focused on: 1) advanced processing, such as Datuming Wave Equation (WED) applied to crustal, high-resolution marine and land seismic data; 2) integration of different geophysical datasets to image the subsurface for different applications, including onshore and offshore aquifers characterisation; 3) theoretical model to describe the effects of gas hydrates on climate change in sensitive areas (e.g., Antarctica and the Arctic); 4) utilization of Geographic Information System for integration of datasets.
