BRIDGE – Virtual Mentorship Program
The Virtual Mentorship Program aligns with the strategic goals of the Action and the broader mission of the COST Association, which focuses on interdisciplinary research and career development for young researchers and innovators across all member countries.

The BRIDGE Virtual Mentorship Program is an initiative that aims to will foster collaborative learning and support within the OFF-SOURCE COST Action community and beyond by pairing early-career researchers and PhD candidates with seasoned experts from across academia and industry, facilitating knowledge transfer, capacity building and career development. The program will leverage virtual and hybrid networking strategies to overcome geographical barriers, enabling meaningful exchanges across disciplines and borders.

The Virtual Mentorship Program aligns with the strategic goals of the Action and the broader mission of the COST Association, which focuses on interdisciplinary research and career development for young researchers and innovators across all member countries. The program is designed to foster growth and collaboration through the following objectives:

  • Support Career Development: Help early-career researchers gain guidance on research pathways, career decisions, and skill development in geophysical and hydrogeological fields.
  • Facilitate Knowledge Transfer: Enable mentors to share valuable insights on methodologies, current challenges, and best practices in offshore groundwater research.
  • Encourage Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Promote exchanges across disciplines, creating a network that leverages diverse expertise within the Action to drive innovation.
  • Promote Diversity and Inclusion: Ensure opportunities for underrepresented groups within the Action to connect with mentors, fostering an inclusive academic community
  • Build Long-Term Professional Networks: Cultivate relationships that persist beyond the program, encouraging ongoing collaborations within the broader scientific community.
